Tradelytics LLC ("Tradelytics," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Tradelytics trading journal platform at tradelytics.ai and app.tradelytics.ai. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information about you when you use our Service.

By using Tradelytics, you agree to the data practices described in this Policy. If you disagree, please discontinue use of the Service.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, information generated by your use of the Service, and in some cases, information from third-party sources (like connected brokers).

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
• Process subscription payments and manage billing
• Power AI Insights and AI Coach features (Pro plan) by analyzing your trade history
• Send transactional emails (account confirmation, billing receipts, password resets)
• Send product updates and our newsletter (you can opt out at any time)
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents
• Comply with legal obligations
• Improve the Service through aggregate, anonymized usage analysis

We do not use your trade data or journal entries for advertising purposes.

4. AI Features and Your Data

Pro plan subscribers have access to AI-powered features that analyze your trade history. Specifically:

• Your trade data is processed by Anthropic's Claude API to generate insights and coaching responses
• We send only the trade data necessary to answer your query — we do not send your full history in every request
• Anthropic's data processing is governed by their privacy policy and our data processing agreement with them
• Your data is not used to train AI models without your explicit consent

5. Broker Connections

If you connect a brokerage account (Pro plan), we retrieve your trade history and related data from your broker via their API. This connection is read-only — we cannot place trades or access funds. You can disconnect any broker at any time from your account settings, after which we stop retrieving new data from that broker.

Broker connection credentials are encrypted at rest and in transit. We do not store your brokerage username or password — we use token-based authentication where supported by your broker.

6. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data or trade data to third parties. We share information only in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers: We use third-party vendors (Stripe for payments, Anthropic for AI features, cloud hosting providers) who process data on our behalf under data processing agreements
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government request
• Business transfers: If Tradelytics is acquired or merges with another company, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction, with notice provided to you
• With your consent: For any other purpose with your explicit consent

7. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

• Keep you logged into your account
• Remember your preferences
• Understand how the Service is used (via privacy-respecting analytics)

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect your ability to use certain features of the Service, including staying logged in.

We do not use third-party advertising cookies or sell your browsing data to advertisers.

8. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (such as billing records, which we retain for 7 years for tax purposes).

Anonymized and aggregated usage data may be retained indefinitely for product improvement purposes.

9. Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights regarding your data:

• Access: Request a copy of your personal data
• Correction: Update inaccurate or incomplete data (you can do this directly in account settings)
• Deletion: Delete your account and associated data
• Export: Download your trade data at any time from account settings
• Opt-out: Unsubscribe from marketing emails via the unsubscribe link in any email
• AI opt-out: Disable AI features from account settings if you prefer your data not be processed for AI analysis

10. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including:

• Encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest
• Access controls limiting which team members can access user data
• Secure, token-based broker authentication
• Regular security reviews

No system is completely secure. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

11. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us at legal@tradelytics.ai and we will delete it promptly.

12. International Users

Tradelytics is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the US, your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or via a notice in the Service at least 14 days before changes take effect. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.
